Fauci is, IMO, understandably about vaccines as the way to stop the pandemic. This doesn't bother me in that it is the fastest way to get the monster under control given that we have now three viable vaccines.

Plus therapeutics can get in the way of vaccines because if people know they are less likely to die, they are less likely to vaccinated. He has another point, if people don't get vaccinated, then more people will get covid and even if they live the virus with more cases will develop more variants.

So for him, vaccines until the cases are just isolated and can be contained is the way. What bothers me is just how short sighted the FDA is in not really helping develop therapeutics because either a new lethal variant could come along, or another virus pandemic altogether could come and therapeutics could buy time to develop new vaccines. I don't think the humans realize just the kind of fire they are playing with here. It only takes one nasty ass mutation to wipe most of us off the Earth.
