(ECMO) is used for Cardiac arrest in Adults..possibly waiting for a transplant or a stint...at the other end of the spectrum, we have a Premature infant who needs help with oxygenation...heart..lungs not fully developed..again (ECMO) Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation assists with reducing stress until body up to the rigor of general survival ALL by itself.
SO we have a patient on ECMO for 79 days and receives his FIRST dose of LERONLIMAB on day 79 of hospitalization..he is weaned OFF by day 84 and DISCHARGED from the ECMO ICU by day 91. This is AFTER he has had the SOC including the commonly used Dexamethasone.
