The CPS that Marc claims to have hired, Peter  Messineo of Palm Beach, has merged his firm into the registered firm of Drake and Klein CPAs PA.  The new firm is Drake, Klein, Messineo, CPAs PA (“DKM”) of Clearwater, Florida.

DKM Certified Public Accountants is the new name for the firm created when Peter Messineo CPA merged with Drake & Klein CPAs.

The merger of the Pinellas County accounting and auditing businesses, effective Dec. 17, creates a full-service firm with about 100 public company clients, many of them shell companies and smaller issuers, throughout the United States.

Although DKM hasn’t made an official announcement about the merger, the news slipped out when dozens of those clients began notifying the  U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that they had hired DKM as their new public accounting firm.

With a staff of 11, DKM has moved to larger offices in the same Clearwater office building in which Drake & Klein was based. The firm is looking to hire at least one more senior level auditor for the busy season and potentially add more beyond that, Klein said.

“As the firm grows, we’ll be looking for more tax clients, nonprofits to audit, accounting and bookkeeping services on a monthly or quarterly basis, and private company audits and reviews, but still with a major concentration in SEC reporting companies,” Klein said.
