Absolutely agree we don't know for sure...but, IF I'm a doctor along with the other 27 petitioning on behalf of MY patient(s) asked for the drug knowing its shelf life..why would I wait to administer the one thing that could help continue their existence. I would expect the families... similar to the Estradas to want ANYthing that might help ASAP.
