Assuming the fiscal quarter ended on March 31, he would not be able to get the numbers together by the market opening on April 1 (just a few hours later than the quarter officially ended), and therefore couldn't promote or say anything last Thursday before the long weekend. It may take a Conglomerate (did I spell that right???) some time to gather the financials, but it could be any day now...any day. And, yes, this is a recurring thing for all publicly-traded companies. He'll have about 8-11 weeks to promote before the next quiet period, which should be plenty of time to stabilize the stock.
