Totally absurd, and yet tragically entirely possible. Care denied anyone until hospitalized. Once hospitalized the only allowed treatments were 150 years old ie were unproven and possibly dangerous convalescent plasma, aspirin and oxygen. Spanish flu is not the same as covid. We don't really know how to compare them. The proof may be in the pudding, but don't blame the cooks. They weren't even allowed to test taste the pudding before it was served. It took a lot of guts for that Texas Dr to testify as he did. He will probably lose his medical license or go to jail for unauthorized use of his brain or mouth. Who set us up for this world wide fiasco that has been building for more than 70 years ? The doctors or their regulators? Or both?
