The challenge with HIV Cure is eliminating virus in reservoir... The proposed mechanism here is to transplant HIV-free and LLMab treated marrow, which has a decent chance of truly eradicating HIV from a host.

If we understood the mechanism by which HIV in reservoir started churning out new viruses, and/or were able to target cells harboring HIV DNA, I think that could be more efficient. But we don't, we can't, and this is really one of the most promising strategies I've seen.
