Unfortunately, variants are going to mean LLMab will be indispensible as the option of last resort. Convalescent plasma (moreso) and spike MABs both have shown the potential to spur on variant selection.

Lilly and Regeneron know there's a limited shelf life on these and are undoubtedly working on spike MABs for the variants that are well known, but now there are at least four major ones. Eventually those will become 8 and 12 and so forth, unless the correct strategies are implemented to eradicate this virus. All signs indicate those strategies won't be implemented.
