I guess I know nothing about the topic of DSMCs, but it sure seems to me that if the DSMC failed to properly asses the 50% interim trial data, then that failure is the responsibility of the management team that hired the DSMC.

Was it just bad luck that the CYDY management team got a DSMC that couldn't figure out that the trial needed to be modified to enhance success probablity?
