The variants are already out there, and with 30% of Americans claiming they won't get a vaccine, and a percentage of those who refuse to take other measures to limit exposure, they will be the reservoir that allows these variants to circumvent the vaccinated and previously infected, until the time they can be reinfected.

The Big Question is whether vaccines or previous infection will confer protective immunity or cause more severe hyperimmune reactions. Seen evidence of both.
