Wondering how many of us are still sulking because of the capital raise announced yesterday that everyone and their resident troll knew was coming. I know I was murder to be around yesterday. I did the typical thing when Verb offerings are announced. Stormed around the house. Bitched and moaned. Took to my Verb friends chats and bitched and moaned some more. Threatened to sell. Calculated O/S and fully diluted shares with the additions. Bitched some more. Over analyzed each and every mistake Verb has ever made while playing armchair QB. Had a few beers while bitching, watched my beloved Celtics lose to the freakin’ Nets, and went to bed. Good thing iHang was down for the duration. Forgive me, I’m human. (Obviously, I am over-dramatizing a bit here for effect, but you get the idea).
I haven’t fallen in love with the stock or the company, but I can tell you this is more than just an investment for me. When you’ve broken bread with a majority of management on their dime, spent a considerable amount of blood/sweat/tears on research, and made possible life long friendships with folks I made through my investment, it tends to become more than just money. None of that will ever blind my investment judgement.
As always happens, I woke up with a fresh perspective happy it was Friday, and read Redspeed’s post. If he is right (and he 1000% is!), and Verb is launching a site that affords small timers the ability to promote their wares using VerbLIVE technology, with no outlay of cash except if they make a sale, that will help them promote their livestream events, that connects with their Shopify accounts, that allows people to display their inventory even when not streaming.....that is truly amazing. Couple that with a freshly replenished bank account ready to market the sh*t out of this new site, VL, and VerbTeams, and with the Microsoft integration on the horizon, we are now really in the ballgame. Even better is that this all is about to hit at any minute.
We all have our moments. But for me, I am ecstatic that all my bitching and moaning yesterday was contained to just that. I am convinced now more than ever that finally finally finally we are about to get pay back as shareholders and see all our riding out storms come to fruition.
For those who did more than just complain yesterday and actually sold, I get it. This ride isn’t for everyone and everyone makes their own decisions. But Verb will move forward with or without us and I, for one, am glad to still be amongst the living.
