So I caught this story on NPR this morning.  It's a high level news article discussing myeloma advancements, but this caught my attention:

http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2013/02/18/17...nd-running

But researchers think they're on the verge of blocking myeloma's return for good.  "We're close, close, close," says Dr. Ken Anderson of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. "We're soon really going to change the natural history [of myeloma] in a major way." That's doctor-speak for "cure." Until specialists achieve that cure, they have an expanding bag of tricks to keep the cancer at bay.....

I know that we have had no indication that a myeloma trial is being set up for Dana-Farber, and nothing in the article mentions any specifics on those "cure" componds.  But the optimist in me cant help thinking that Kevetrin is going to be involved.  I'd also like to think that the plans to set up the myeloma trial at our still unnamed SW treatment center has got the Dana-Farber people looking at it as well.  Here's to hoping!!
