Vaccines will always be temporary; it will be necessary to enforce border controls / quarantine, continue preventative measures (PPE, no crowds, etc), and I'd argue isolate the immunocompromised to eradicate covid. The US at least lacks the ability to successfully accomplish that.

Canada seems to understand what LLMab can do and is moving to secure a supply. Can't say the US FDA didn't have their chance.
