The PR says “this critical population” and goes on to immediately bullet point all cause mortality (the primary endpoint).
I think many of you are reading “this critical population” as “the subset of critical patients” when it’s quite likely that wording was meant to convey “these very sick patients”.
They begin by explaining the trial (laying out that it’s critical and severe patients. Then there’s the blurb about “this critical population”. Then bullet points.
I’m not saying definitively that I’m right and everyone else is wrong, but that’s how I read it and I’m rarely wrong (not true). Just consider that it’s very possible that statement was meant to convey the entire trial population. A turn of phrase, if you will.
Disappointed it wasn’t better but fully expecting to sell out our inventory with EUA regardless. More thoughts to come.
