There is Knowing and then there is "Knowing".
You can know what the raw data says and you can know what they are telling you but you don't Legally know anything until you have received a finalized "official" document. So, IMHO, when we talk about the SEC requirements for disclosing material information, it doesn't come into play until we receive a finalized "official" document stating the results.
