Any first year chem student can make QD.
One of the main reasons Quantum Dot Solar is not commonplace yet is that heat can deteriorate QD and desert temperature can be 130F consistently.
QMC QDX QD are environmentally resistant against heat, air and moisture. I have not read that any competition has QDX QD characteristics
The AMTRON agreement included developing QD solar cells so the job listing for someone with some solar experience makes sense.
For biotech test assays I think QDX would have a guaranteed shelf life and high durability.
