Trial admin are walking a very fine line in this trial IMO in regards to patients getting the SOC only.
By day 2 or 3 (at the latest) I would expect they see the SOC +B patients are severely decreasing their viral load and, in addition, they should be starting to see quite improved breathing and lung functioning.
But the SOC only patients will be pretty much static in their improvement since R does not seem to affect the viral load nor do much for the lungs; if so the mortality rate would have dropped and it has not to date.
So at what point do you add B to the SOC only patients - at what point are their lives in danger of the symptoms getting too bad and lung stem cells damaged that B can't even help the problem?
They only gave Rems about a day or two when Trump went to Walter Reed before they also gave him the Regeneron antibody treatment.
