Funny you used this Hitler analogy. My dad (who fought against the nazis, artillery in Europe) told me stories of the way this nation pulled together and sacrificed during WW2. I see COVID as a war as we’ve now lost more US citizens to it than in all of that conflict.
Gas rationing, no non-essential travel, blackouts of coastal cities etc.
Now we have maybe 30% of the population that won’t get a shot because of their “freedoms”?
The longer the virus remains active the more opportunity it has to mutate. Unvaccinated people passing it to each other is a threat.
So I see the anti-vax crowd not as freedom advocates, but rather as selfish conspiracy theorists. These people were around prior to our entering WW2 as well. Some very prominent Americans did not want the US to enter into the conflict.
