At the time we heard the 87 death number, this Board reviewed a good number of studies regarding death beyond 28 days.
The general sense was about 10% (certainly a 5% to 15% range) of reported deaths occurred post-28 days.
I was thinking at the time that 75% of patients with 110% of expected deaths per patient was the DSMB saying they thought we could reach significance with 85% of the targeted events.
