COVID zero anytime soon is pure fantasy. COVID at a mortality rate of less than the flu and similar ailments? We'll see. IMO, we'll be getting multiple vaccines per year for at least a couple of years as they reprogram the vaccines to combat mutations.
Israel studied 600k who received the vaccine, and 21 ended up in the hospital per a NYT report today. Now there is no data about how old the 21 were, but that's still an astounding statistic. That's 3.5 of every 100k in the population when the flu hospitalization rate is 150 of every 100k.
