Guys and gals, my horse has been dead since before lunch yesterday and you keep forcing me to beat on it. Why? Why do you hate horses so much? When someone beats a human well after they're dead they call that a crime of passion. I know this because there have been 11 different CSI shows running for 15 straight years on ma teevee.
Anyhow, NP didn't release any information on mortality because he said he wasn't going to. That's not a sign of anything other than him following through on his word.
Additionally, if for some reason the news is bad it won't matter if he said it yesterday or says it in 5 weeks. The result would be equally bad either way in that scenario. For the record, I don't believe it will be bad and if you believe it will be perhaps having an additional two to three weeks to unload shares at a better share price than yesterday could even be considered advantageous.
Additionally additionally, the FDA and two other regulatory bodies are in some level of ongoing negotiations with Cytodyn. NP can't lie about that in a press release. You could argue that negotiations don't take two to three weeks, but even then I'd call BS. For a governing body to approve a drug there has to be a LOT of analysis and likely quite a bit of back and forth. You can find all the evidence of this that you need by considering our (or any) BLA approval. They take 6-10 MONTHS after every trial is done and all the safety and manufacturing proof has developed into pudding.
We JUST finished our trial and if they're going to give us any sort of approval in just a few short weeks there will need to be a significant level of strategery (medical term) between the FDA (or any other country) and Cytodyn. The FDA isn't in the business of just gunslinging drugs out onto the market.
The last thing they want is to rush an approval to try to save lives only to find out it doesn't save lives but DOES cause people's dicks to fall off. In fact, that may be the only thing that could stop us from saving lives at this point. UPDS, Unexplained Penis Detachment Syndrome...
(the cop rips his sunglasses off, kneeling beside a curb on a dirty, deserted street)
"Another penis fell off, huh? That's the tenth one this week. Hey Rook, we're gonna need an evidence bag. A small one. It won't matter now but hopefully he was a grower not a shower. This looks like a classic case of UPDS. Get me the head of the FDA immediately and tell my wife I won't be home for supper.
Respectfully,
