Many covid-19 patients who died, were found to be deficient in Vitamin D.
Studies found that when m/m covid-19 patients in the ER were given Vitamin D early, fewer ended up in the ICU vs m/m patients not given Vitamin D. Thus, reducing the number of deaths. Patients with severe or critical covid-19 did not display any benefit from receiving Vitamin D, no reduction in deaths nor relation to recovery.
