Re: Bhawks #59810
You're beginning to grasp at straws. Regardless as to whether it came in 93 or 94, it did, according to Bill Clinton, lead to the loss of at least a dozen or more dimmy seats in Congress. If I remember correctly, the dimmys lost over 40 house seats that year plus the Senate shifted into the proper hands.

Quote:
A 2019 DiMaggio et al. study looked at mass shooting data for 1981 to 2017 and found that mass-shooting fatalities were 70% less likely to occur during the 1994 to 2004 federal ban period , and that the ban was associated with a 0.1% reduction in total firearm homicide fatalities due to the reduction in mass-shootings' contribution to total homicides.[40]

As I had pointed out to you several days back, these guns never went away even though "banned". If the weapon was popular, gun makers just changed the name of the gun and altered a feature or two. In other words an AR-15 could be sold if you called it the 223 Sure Kill and gun makers cut off flash suppressor. I guess you and a bunch of wacko politicians believe that no self respecting crook wouldn't even consider committing a crime if he/she/it* couldn't get a hold of a weapon with a flash suppressor.

* I'm trying to be politically correct. LOL
