Rapid Test do miss 30 to 50% of COVID positive individuals as compared to the PCR test.
BUT, the PCR test also test positive for individuals that had COVID but have now recovered the disease.
The Rapid test test positive 95% of the individuals that carry enough viral load that are potential spreaders of the disease.
This and the fact that the rapid test results are within 30 minutes and the PCR is within days is the reasons the rapid test are the best option to reopen up the economy.
