I think the problem was the Trump administration( Don't jump down my throat Not political just stating a fact) prioritized the vaccines and actually did a great job getting them out in less than a year. But dropped the ball on therapeutics. I like Janet Woodcock but I think she was part of the problem by focusing on only BP drugs , Come on giving 700M to KODAK really. Just showing were bad money went in the pandemic, that kind of money could have gone to 10-20 Small Biotechs and maybe produced something a lot sooner. Think of what 50-100m dollar grant would have done for our trials.
