The fact remains the rate of mutation/genetic drift of Covid-19 appears, based on scientific consensus of the available data, than that of most human rhinoviruses and influenza.
It is a fact, that the viral mutation occurs during replication, and the larger the infected population, the more opportunity for additional mutation to occur.
Beyond saving the lives of those not helped my current or future therapies, vaccines reduce the rate of development of new strains of Covid 19.
