Looks like Remdisivir will be shipped to Africa soon. More trials for Ebola will probably be needed. Remdesivir was made for Ebola but somehow wasn’t effective. I am sure it was just a matter of bad luck in their trial. Probably used mortality as their primary end point. They have learned since then to use hospital days reduced now. Should help with the approval and use in Africa once they find out it reduces hospital stays.
I was just kidding about Remdesivir. I read somewhere they found the drug to defeat Ebola last outbreak. Let’s hope they stock piled it and are all over giving it out like candy to stop the spread of Ebola. Last thing we need is Ebola spreading outside Africa.
