Oh for Christ's sake, I KNOW that the civilian AR-15's are semi-automatic.
Every article I posted made the point that single shots, little to no kick enabling precise aiming, high muzzle velocity and large capacity magazines of lightweight ammo make The AR-15 the weapon of choice for mass shootings.

I'm fully aware of the history of the M-16. Loss of automatic fire capability has clearly not harmed accuracy, as the death tolls from mass shootings illustrate.
The ER doctors are right about the weapon and they are clearly more credible on the subject than are you. And it's not a close call.
