I have to say that Respert is right when it comes to s’mores. It’s a must to warm the chocolate and the Hershey bar is the preferred chocolate.
On my rustic fire pit in my woods we have used a large farm tractor rim as our fire pit for more than 30 years. We have a heavy duty mesh screen to straddle the side of the rim just for warming the chocolate. It’s a must for the connoisseur of the s’more. It’s the old country boy recipe that I try to follow. My kids loved it and my grandkids will learn to love it.
Thought about updating the fire pit to a more permanent concrete brick styled fire pit. But there is something about sitting around that ol’ tractor rim that just oozes good ol’ country bon fires that needs no change.
