I'm a big believer in studying/knowing the current tax laws so you don't pay any more than you need to to Uncle Sam.
For example: 23.8% tax on a long-term profit of $5 million is $1,190,000
But for the 43.4% version it's $2,926,000.
You just gave an extra $1,736,000 to Uncle Sam!!!
I'd rather give the extra dollars to friends and family, or blow it on a new car or vacation!
