I agree. If not PR'd in coordination with the FDA, my preferred announcement would be a trading halt on a Friday with the PR announced during the halt or after hours and a CC scheduled Monday morning and the halt not lifted until the end of the CC. A halt all day Friday would trap some of those who continually manipulate and the share prices and force them to hold their positions over the weekend.
Plan B would be be the same except no halt on Friday and release PR afterhours and halt trading Monday morning until after CC.
I understand OTC halts can be requested from the companies (I think NEXCF did this back when the shorts were manipulating their stock last summer), and pending such significant news without the built in "breaker" halts this seems like the prudent thing to do on the OTC. It would allow them to issue initial results, provide time for investors and others to digest the information and address questions without wild unregulated OTC price swings.
