I agree; anyone who asks those questions can be redirected to look at the sticky posts, look at highly-recommended posts for the past several months, rather than getting all upset or just deleting the questions or whatever. (and just FTR, the questions I asked when I got here were not on that level at all). I see no problem with a polite "look at the VERY informative sticky posts and then we'd be glad to answer any questions you have."

I had someone asking me those questions a while ago - I directed the person to look at the sticky posts for great information.
