I don't disagree. My wife is having long hauler symptoms. Its been 2 months and she is still hacking all day long. I would pay that amount right now to fix it. I would pay more as a matter of fact.

But, nationally and globally there would be a hunt to find cheaper drugs, even if less efficacious. Perhaps we are the best treatment. Perhaps we are first to market.

But, lets say that Maraviroc has 50% of the efficacy, but is 25% of the cost. (Im just speculating, insert another drug if you want). Point being that it may become the first line of defense, then LL if maraviroc doesnt work.

Before everyone recites the list of side effects of Maraviroc, I am aware. But short term use may be deemed safe enough.
