The Pfizer and Moderna trials did not assess ability to catch covid, but for the impact of vaccine on symptomatic and severe/critical covid.
Tens of thousands of patients. Symptomatic and severe/critical patients tested.
94% reduction in symptomatic cases, 100% reduction in severe/critical cases.
No one really cares if they get another "bad cold". Avoiding intubation, ECMO or death is the goal.
