RO test matters for HIV, as >99% RO is required for effective viral suppression.
In cytokine storm/immune dysregulation/severe covid the t cell exhaustion, macrophage/monocyte chemotaxis will be substantially diminished even if RO is less than 99%.
RO test would be helpful, as MDV noted to adjust dosing for maximum therapeutic effect, but it is an apple and oranges comparison.
Same receptor, but very different physiologic processes (blocking the door to prevent viral entry and reproduction vs. interrupting the inflammatory feedback loop/cytokine storm).
