The difference is Massive! lol
In fly fishing, one is literally "hunting" for the fish as well as trying to then match the foods that the fish are eating at that time. Presentation and a natural look to the bait as well as the movement of the presentation all come into play! Also, the water is extremely clear so the trout can see knots and hooks and leaders ect.
It's a lot of details, I know. But it is a great way to get into the natural world again if just for a short time.
