No one even know if the vaccine will be effective against the South African strain. Coronaviruses mutate which is why there’s never been a vaccine against the common cold. I’ve opted not to be a vaccine guinea pig with this being one of the reasons. This is a new vaccine type and I sincerely hope no one is putting themselves at risk just to find out there’s long term side effects and the vaccine is not effective. This is why I firmly believe we need treatment options to give patients when they’re exposed to prevent infection and should they get sick additional treatment options.
