I think we can agree that it would be awesome to sequence the genes of all 394 patients. Cant wait until Cytodyn can even think of pulling off a feat like that.
I offer this, anecdotally of course, concerning tracking the England and S African strains.
England, sequenced (anecdotally) like 9,000 Covid patients. Their recon found the variants that are more contagious and potentially resistant. This surveillance FOUND the new strains.
At the time of that press concerning England’s 9-10k, the grand old USA had sequenced the genes of anecdotally of like 300 humans. 300!
