So this study, which demonstrates that CCR5delta32 is protective against covid, suggests another element CYDY should have employed in CD10 and CD12.
CYDY should have done CCR5delta32 testing on every patient in CD10 and CD12.
But since these guys have done it, maybe it will save CYDY's bacon on CD12.
10% of the general population is CCR5delta32 heterozygous, which means one of the two CCR5 genes is mutated and does not express CCR5. Perhaps half as much CCR5 to start with so easier for LL to blockade.
That means that 10% of all patients have significantly less CCR5 molecules. So if CCR5 blockade works in covid, it works significantly better in CCR5delta32 heterozygous mutants.
(CCR5delta32 homozygous mutants don't make any CCR5 at all so probably LL does nothing, just like in HIV.)
