I think we are both correct. The thing is I am assuming a larger number (range) for VX deaths. In a nutshell: a number of deaths lower than 50 in our cohort will produce a good p-value.
I am not using our reported eIND percentage which is extraordinarily low. If we had, say ,16.9% deaths (44) in our side the p-value would be 0.00048 (yes, 3 zeroes) with a post-hoc power of 94.2%.
