I've gifted UNVC stock to friends and family as well. That way, (since I may be paying big capital gains taxes on whatever shares I sell), the taxes are up to them and they may be able to pay a lower capital gains tax rate. But the biggest plus is that the value of the shares I gift to them may appreciate considerably over time.
