I see quite a number of critical patients, but only for a handful of minutes at a time.
An uncontrolled environment with a short window to determine treatment and essentially no diagnostic tests.
Just ABG, cell counts and chemistry would be nice.
Lactic acid, pH, wbc, hct/Hgb, Na, K, paO2, pCO2 would be nice.
Maybe Santa can bring me an I-stat
