Agreed. I suspect there is some inflammatory aspect, as the observed burden of arthritis does not seem to correlate that closely with lifetime activities.
Certainly the whole of inflammatory pathways is not yet know. OA may have a proximate cause with the intermediate steps yet to be determined.
RA obviously the big indication with disability proportionate to both the economic cost and therapeutic opportunity.
