Interesting but odd. The drug iIvermectin s currently approved by the FDA to treat intestinal parasites in humans and animals, and also in humans for head lice and rosacea. I wonder how in the world it got mixed up in Covid treatment experiments.
Nonetheless, it has some very unpleasant side effects apparently: Skin rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, facial or limb swelling, neurologic adverse events (dizziness, seizures, confusion), sudden drop in blood pressure, severe skin rash potentially requiring hospitalization and liver injury (hepatitis). Laboratory test abnormalities include decrease in white cell count and elevated liver tests.
