So this makes this news worth even significantly more than just a progress report on the vaccine development front. This is an entirely new avenue to walk on. Now it no longer just maybe the 5th vaccine that will be released to market, hopefully sometime in summer, but a therapeutic die infected people.
I have watched some CNN this afternoon (morning US time) where some gentleman was interviewed about the fact that the vaccination rate is by far not fast enough. Currently there are no more than 2,5 million Americans vaccinatied, even if the place will pick up to a number of 1 million per day as suggested by Joe Biden, then it will still take 8 months to reach the 70% herd immunity factor needed. So NGIO might still be well in the race to participate even in the first wave of vaccinations if they receive approval within 6 months as Pfizer and Moderna did.
