I have a medicare advantage plan. It covers meds. When you are in the donut hole, your copay for meds costs $1000s. When you get out of the donut hole and into the catastrophic phase then your copay is 5% of total cost but it takes alot of meds to get out of the donut hole. It really sucks. Private insurance is much better.
