I 1000% agree. And not just us, but all small/medium pharmas who have promising therapeutics. If your true intent is to find therapeutics that will save lives why wouldn't you help collecting the data that will allow you to evaluate them? It makes no sense.

Just imagine if instead of pre-purchasing drugs to give out free of cost, they helped organize, coordinate and facilitate the enrolling of trials with that money. We might have found drugs that made a difference much earlier in the pandemic.
