You're assuming that there is no such thing as objective truth or fact checks that can establish what is fact and what is misinformation or an outright lie.
It's not a question of liking facts over misinformation anymore than it's a question of whether or not gravity will drop your ass hard depending on whether you believe it will or not..
Political speech in particular can be fact checked for accuracy, easily.
The other night I debunked a claim that an error in reporting a vote count had permanently shifted the results of the count, rather than the FACT that it was an error that was corrected and the count was reconfirmed.
The fact that all of the spammed voter fraud claims posted by EW are amounting to exactly jack-shit is, a simple fact. Otherwise they would be breaking news all over Fox news. They ain't.
