Why not?
It shows that even though the test is very good less that 10 SECONDS that it can be even better down the road. Also it indicates there actually is a test. Can't improve on something that doesn't exist right.
If this was a huge company with unlimited cash to spend than I think yes you go ahead and produce billions of tests. If you're a cash strapped company than you do the responsible thing and get the EUA first. With production to start the same minute we get the EUA.
But that's just my opinion.
