It feels as though there is a misunderstanding of trial structure.
Patients are randomly assorted.
It is not as though all those receiving the vaccine are monks cloistered in Nepal and the placebo patients are homeless in NYC sleeping 20 to a room.
That is the nature of blinded trials, so that there is an apple to apples comparison.
